CIEH Level 2 Awards in Food Safety

This 6 hour CIEH level 2 training course gives students fundamental food safety or hygiene knowledge and qualification. It is designed for all food handlers.

  • Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering
  • Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Retail
  • Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Manufacturing

 

These courses are designed for anyone working in a catering, retail or manufacturing setting where food is being prepared, cooked or handled. These are all one day courses lasting 6 hours and assessment is through a multiple choice examination at the end of the day.

The qualifications cover the following topics:

  • Legislation
  • Food safety hazards
  • Temperature control
  • Refrigeration, chilling and cold holding
  • Food handling
  • Principles of safe food storage
  • Cleaning
  • Food premises and equipment

 

The course price includes all tuition fees, current text book, stationery and examination and certification costs.
